Description
I have an old Harrison Meyer manual electric kiln (kiln sitter kiln) to give away .
Power: 4.8 kw and 20 Amps single phase
The kiln still works -- just about -- but is very old and does not fire to temperature. It would struggle to get beyond 1200-1220 degrees C. even with the new elements that it needs according to Bob of Corby Kilns (who has quoted £450 to replace them).
Present condition: it was last fired in August for a Cone 05 bisque fire but failed to reach that temperature. (However the low firing grogged clay items inside did bisque, so it did produce some heat).
So this kiln is only suitable for low firing pottery as an electric kiln. Alternatively, it can be reconfigured as a raku or similar kiln.
