some details

Electro system: Under-bridge piezo pickup; preamp with volume, three-band EQ, variable midrange frequency, mid shape switch

For versatile powered performance, the preamp’s smoothly responsive three-band EQ is supported by an adjustable midrange (300Hz - 2kHz) for enhanced tonal tailoring and anti-feedback control, while the extremely useful mid shape switch provides an instant choice between scooped natural or harder mid/low-boosted settings.

The electronics section of the CPX5 features a three band equalizer with an adjustable midrange frequency for added control of the overall sound of the guitar. The Mid Shape Switch offers a choice between Natural and Hard tone settings. The hard setting boosts Mid and Low frequencies producing a powerful sound.

Bracing is a critical factor in the overall tone produced by the guitar. The Compass series`s use of an X bracing design with placement closer to the sound hole affording greater bass response from the instrument.
