Description

An established, family-owned Consultancy with a long-standing reputation for delivering innovative and practical design solutions is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its expanding London team. The London office focuses exclusively on Building Structures and comprises a friendly, close-knit team of around ten engineers. The role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career Structural Engineer to gain hands-on experience, develop technical skills and progress within a supportive and collaborative environment.

This is a permanent position based in the Building Structures team located close to St James Park station. Candidates should be located within a reasonable commuting distance, as the team attend the office daily. Hybrid working may be considered following a successful settling-in period, allowing for one day per week working from home.

The successful candidate will contribute to a range of refurbishment and extension projects across both commercial and residential sectors. Responsibilities will include assisting with design calculations, preparing drawings and reports, and undertaking site surveys. The role provides valuable exposure to both new and existing structures, offering a strong foundation for professional growth and progression towards chartership.

Applicants should hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline. Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD or Revit would be advantageous, although full training and mentoring will be provided. Strong communication skills, enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.

The Consultancy places great value on its people and offers a progressive working environment that encourages innovation, learning and development. The successful candidate will benefit from structured professional development, early project responsibility, opportunities for advancement and close mentorship from experienced engineers committed to supporting career progression.

Salary will be negotiable for the right individual, depending on experience and the employer is an equal opportunities organisation and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
