Description

My client is looking to recruit a Senior Payroll Administrator for a 12 month fixed-term contract.

As the Senior Payroll Administrator you will report directly to the Payroll Manager and work as part of a small , friendly payroll team where you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and accurate payroll operation.

Key Responsibilities

Managing end-to-end processes, including starters and leaversMaintain accurate records of payroll data for multiple payrollsReview and verify timesheetsEnsure accuracy and timeliness of paymentsSubmission of statutory returns to HMRCProcessing statutory deductionsRespond to employee payroll queries with professionalism and careCollaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment of employee data and benefitsSupport audits and compliance checks by preparing relevant documentationThird party records, i.e. AEO's, pensionsOther ad hoc payroll reports as requiredTrain and mentor junior payroll staff as neededLiaise with other departments in a friendly and professional manner

Experience

Experience of working in a similar role will be preferredExperience of working in a fast-paced environment with strict reporting deadlines

Qualifications and training

GCSE Maths and English - Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)A-Level Maths is desirableCIPP is desirable

Skills and Aptitude

Excellent data entry skillsExcellent administration and organisation skillsAnalysis, numerical and report writing skillsStrong communication, listening and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritise workload and meet deadlinesDemonstrates a high level of discretion and confidentialityExcellent attention to detailAbility to work on own as well as part of a teamProficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systemsCommitted to diversity and inclusion
