Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer

Description

Our client, a leading consultancy in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. This role involves working through all stages of geotechnical schemes and offers a mix of office and remote working opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Serving as the technical lead on a range of geotechnical–related projectsDeveloping and procuring ground investigationsWriting and checking reports, including monitoring memos, PSSR's, and GIR'sUndertaking and verifying design and assessment calculations (piling, soil nailing, shallow foundations, earthworks)Checking CDM documentationSupporting the project management of schemesMaintaining and developing excellent client relationshipsSupporting the development of more junior staff through technical training and mentoring

Job Requirements:

Significant experience in geotechnical engineeringStrong technical leadership skillsProficiency in developing and managing ground investigationsExpertise in writing and reviewing geotechnical reportsAbility to undertake and check complex design and assessment calculationsFamiliarity with CDM regulations and documentationExcellent client relationship management skillsExperience in mentoring and training junior staff

Work Arrangement:

3 days per week in the office2 days working from home
