This is a phenomenal opportunity to join my client, a highly-regarded, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy looking to broaden their geographical reach by establishing a brand new office location in Scotland. Renowned for lending their expertise to an array of high-profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are seeking a capable, enthusiastic Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design who is willing to take on a diverse array of challenging projects. You will be working with a newly-established team of infrastructure design experts, based in the stunning, striking Scottish Capital City of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

Contributing to a number of developments, in a design capacityOverseeing the day-to-day running of engineering projects, from initial inception through to successful deliveryMentoring and supporting colleagues in their tasksLiaising with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectorsPreparing and checking reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statementsAdhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all timesActing as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, and other events

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil EngineeringHold Chartered Status with a recognised professional bodyExperience of working in a design role, within a UK-based consultancyConsiderable experience of working on infrastructure (highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projectsExperience of earthworks and drainage network modellingProficient in the use of various software packages (to include Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and similar)Considerable experience of writing and amending a variety of reports for submissionDemonstrable experience of client and stakeholder liaisonExcellent organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

A Master's Degree in Civil EngineeringSome experience of authoring Flood Risk AssessmentsPrior experience of preparing Transport AssessmentsPrevious experience of leading projects/teamsExperience of working in a public-facing roleHold a full, valid UK driving licence
