Principal Traffic Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Engineer with experience in Traffic Design and Team Management to join a client in London. Your main duties include design and implementation of active travel schemes such as walking and cycling as well as public ream improvement, parking and traffic management projects. Other duties include leading a team of traffic engineering professionals, managing external contractors and consultants and liaising with councillors and members of the public.

This is a full–time contract position. The rate on offer is GBP45 – GBP50 per hour – negotiable for the right candidate. Flexible working and working from home arrangements are available.

Working within the Highways team your main duties include:

Design, implementation and delivery of active travel, low traffic neighbourhood (LTN) and traffic engineering schemes

Prioritisation of work loads including public realm improvement, parking and traffic management/calming projects

Leading a team of traffic engineering and parking professionals

Managing external consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders
