GBP37,500

Monday to Friday

6.30am – 3.15pm / 6.30am – 11.30am on Fridays

This market leading engineering company are recruiting for a Pipe Welder to join their site in Cheltenham. The company manufacture and supply a range of specialist products to various industries across the globe.

Main duties & responsibilities:

Ensure welding quality is always maintainedComplete positional MIG/TIG & MMA welds on carbon and stainless–steel pipework & pressure vesselsWork from standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering drawings and to weld proceduresMarking out, plasma cutting, oxyacetylene cutting, burning, grinding and drilling as requiredMeet target efficiency and complete daily work plans including operational bookings, as requiredOperate and set shop floor machines in line with instructionsOperate a pendant overhead crane to move materials and finished fabricationsUnderstand and comply with the Company Core ValuesEngage, suggest and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects, as requiredFlexible to complete other duties when requiredDevelop and drive your own personal development planActively engage with business and departmental continuous improvement initiatives. Skills / Experience:

Proven welding experience on MIG/TIG & MMA processes on both carbon & stainless steelFamiliarity with working from fabrication drawings and to weld procedures
