Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Salary: GBP50,000 GBP60,000 (inclusive of shift allowance)

Shift: Monday Friday, 3-shift rotation with 1-in-4 on-call

Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who enjoys solving problems and keeping a busy site running? Our client operates a long-established manufacturing facility with a mix of older machinery and more recent upgrades, giving you genuine variety day to day.

You ll work across a wide range of electrically driven equipment, including control panels, inverters, motors, sensors and PLC-controlled systems, alongside essential mechanical handling kit.

Multi Skilled Engineer Key Responsibilities: Ensure electrical and mechanical safety across plant and equipment Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) using a digital CMMS Respond safely and efficiently to equipment breakdowns Work closely with production teams to plan maintenance activities Support continuous improvement and site efficiency initiative Skills & Experience Required for a Multi Skilled Engineer

Strong electrical bias with solid mechanical capability Level 3 or HNC qualification (or equivalent experience) Background in manufacturing, processing, FMCG, food or similar Experience using planned maintenance systems Able to commute within one hour of the site What s On Offer Salary of GBP50,000 GBP60,000 inclusive of shift allowance Enhanced pension contributions up to 10% Annual performance-related bonus Monday Friday shift rotation (06 00 / 08 00 / 13 00) 1-in-4 on-call rota covering evenings and weekends Ongoing training, development and technical progression Access to a flexible benefits package This role offers long-term stability, varied engineering work and the chance to build your electrical capability within a well-established operation.
