Description
We are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for my client based in Leicester (LE4 1BF).
Working Hours:
Permanent, day-shift position (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm)
salary: 35,000 per annum.
The company is a well-established engineering manufacturer, and they're looking for a time-served mechanical engineer who's confident maintaining and repairing a wide range of machinery - including CNC machines, welding and robot plants, grinders, and hardening equipment.
You'll be hands-on with:
Provide mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery
Mechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks
Manage and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
As required carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery
PLC fault finding and interrogation
Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault
Planned preventative maintenance
Comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines
Candidate will be expected to work across all company sites in Leicester
Essential Experience:
HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 3 years experience in an Engineering environment which includes experience of fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines
Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls
Conversant with present and emerging technology, up to date knowledge of equipment and techniques
