The Role of the Mechanical Design Engineer:

The Mechanical Design Engineer will support upcoming and live engineering projects, working alongside the wider engineering team to deliver high-quality designs, documentation, and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:

Produce 3D and 2D designs using SolidWorks (preferred) and AutoCADDesign new equipment and improve existing machinery and systemsUpdate drawings, assemblies, and layouts as projects evolvePrepare technical documentation: reports, manuals, specificationsCollaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, compliance and project teamsSupport technical problem-solving across machinery and equipmentEnsure designs meet all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements

Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer:

HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualificationsAt least 3 years experience in design or manufacturing engineeringExperience with machinery, pipework, assemblies, or similar equipmentCompetent in 3D CAD ideally SolidWorksProject management experienceStrong understanding of engineering and manufacturing principlesAbility to manage multiple projects and work independentlyInterest in global projects, travel opportunities, and long-term development
