Junior Cost Support Engineer – Special Purpose Machinery

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Cost Engineer:

Assist in generating accurate cost estimates for engineering projects and bespoke machinery builds

Support the preparation of quotations and costing breakdowns for internal stakeholders and clients

Liaise with engineering and procurement teams to gather technical and pricing information

Maintain and update cost databases, tracking material, labour and production costs

Contribute to continuous improvement of costing processes and systems

Requirements of the Junior Cost Engineer:

Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent experience

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials

Proficient with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with costing or ERP systems is a bonus

Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
