is working with a renowned manufacturer of heavy plant machinery, specialising in the design, production, and maintenance of robust machinery for the construction, mining, and agricultural industries.

Job Description:

As an Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for wiring and assembling control panels on heavy plant machinery. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure all electrical systems meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Wire and assemble control panels for heavy plant machinery.

Read, understand, and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Carry out wiring looms, crimping, soldering, and cable terminations.

Install electrical systems and components in accordance with industry standards.

Conduct testing and fault-finding on electrical systems to ensure proper functionality.

Work collaboratively with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.

Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Electrical Fitter, preferably within the heavy plant machinery industry.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and control panel assembly.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical specifications.

Proficient in the use of hand and power tools relevant to electrical fitting.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.

Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.

A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
