Job Title: Ecologist

Salary: 16.82 per hour (PAYE, dependent on experience)

Location: Cardiff

Type: Contract - up to 12 months, with potential to extend Hybrid working

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Ecologist to join their established Cardiff team in South Wales. You'll collaborate with a range of specialists to deliver innovative ecological solutions across diverse, high-profile projects throughout the UK.

You'll be contributing to initiatives that support biodiversity enhancement, sustainability, and innovation - with opportunities to shape best practice and apply creative approaches to environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of ecological projects.Plan, coordinate and undertake ecological field surveys, analysing and interpreting results.Provide Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) support where required.

What Our Client is Looking For:

Degree in ecology or a closely related discipline.Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).FISC Level 3 (or equivalent field identification skills).Demonstrable protected species survey experience - particularly with hazel dormouse.Protected species licences desirable but not essential.Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.Full UK/EEC driving licence.
