Design / Detail Draughtsperson

Location: Cheshire

Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP55,000 (Neg DOE)

Full-Time, Permanent

About Our Client

Our client is seeking a Design / Detail Draughtsperson to join their expanding business. You will be working for a well-established company who design, develop and manufacture industrial mixers and process equipment for a number of industries such as Chemical, Food, Waste etc

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design and detailing of industrial machinery and mechanical components for a variety of products

Responsibilities

Design and detailing of machinery and mechanical engineering components as required. Perform calculations using standard formulas and engineering codes. Specify and source bought-out components. Produce accurate material lists for the Buying Department. Ensure designs meet specifications while observing value engineering principles. Maintain consistency with engineering standards and safe working practices. Liaise with production management to support and meet production objectives. Engage with customers, including site visits to discuss specifications and obtain dimensions. Follow internal procedures and documentation standards. Undertake any related duties as required.

Experience

Solidworks CAD Software 5+ Years experience in a similar industry / engineering field - Machinery Design, Rotating Equipment and/or Mechanical Components etc

Measurement of Performance

Timekeeping and application Profitability of projects Continuous improvement mindset Adaptability to customer requirements Ingenuity in problem-solving Maintaining confidentiality Proactive communication of improvements to management

Working Hours and Benefits

Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Lunch: 30 minutes

Holidays: 25 days per annum + 8 Bank Holidays

Salary: Negotiable

Annual Review: Performance and salary review conducted annually

Pension Scheme: 3% company contribution, commencing 3 months after start date

Sick Pay Scheme: 1 month full salary, 1 month at 1/3 salary, thereafter statutory sick pay

Additional Benefits: Contributory healthcare scheme, support for continual professional development (CPD), on-site parking
