CNC Sliding Head Supervisor / Programmer setter

Location: Blackburn area

Salary: competitive salary + weekly shift premium

Shifts: Double Days (flexible choose Days only, Lates only, or rotate)

Overtime: Almost always guaranteed

The Opportunity

We re recruiting for a precision engineering firm that s heavily invested in its workshop and continuing to expand its CNC turning section.

They re looking for a skilled CNC Sliding Head Programmer/Setter/Operator with experience on managing Star machines (other sliding experience considered) to join their growing team.

You ll be producing high-precision components across a range of projects and have the opportunity to develop across other turning platforms including single/twin spindle and turret machines. For the right person, there s a clear path into a Shopfloor Lead / Manager role as the business continues to grow.

The Role

Managing, setting and operating sliding head lathes, with the option to working on other twin spindle, or twin turret lathes.

Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances

Optimising programs for quality, efficiency, and cycle time

Occasional support across other CNC turning machines

Working Hours

Flexible Double Day shifts pick what suits you best:

Days: Mon Thur, or Mon Fri early finish

Lates: Mon Thur, or Mon Fri early finish

(Option to work either shift permenant or alternate weekly)
