Civils Estimator

Are you a Civil Engineer with delivery experience who s recently moved into estimating? Or a Quantity Surveyor with a strong track record in civil engineering tenders? If you understand how rates are built and want to shape winning bids, then this is a great opportunity to join a forward–thinking team.

We re looking for a Civil Estimator to support pre–construction activities across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and civil engineering projects. You ll work closely with technical, operational, and commercial teams to produce competitive and accurate tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and assess incoming tender documentation including specifications, drawings, surveys, and contract terms. Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender submissions in collaboration with operational, technical, and commercial teams. Engage with clients, consultants, supply chain partners, and internal teams to clarify project requirements and gather necessary information. Identify value engineering opportunities and propose innovative solutions to enhance competitiveness. Undertake site visits and attend pre–tender meetings where required. Maintain strong awareness of market rates, subcontractor pricing, and industry trends. Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, systems, and internal processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Background in civil engineering delivery or quantity surveying with estimating experience. Strong understanding of construction rates, cost build–ups, and commercial principles. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel. Detail–oriented with a proactive and analytical mindset.
