Description

Civil Engineer

Location: Bristol

Salary: Competitive

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Civil Engineer to join a growing consultancy delivering a wide range of residential, commercial and mixed–use developments across the UK. This is an excellent role for someone looking to broaden their technical skills, take on more responsibility and develop quickly within a supportive and well–established civil engineering team.

The Opportunity

As a Civil Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of infrastructure projects from early concept through to detailed construction stages. You will work across highways, drainage and earthworks, gaining exposure to schemes ranging from small urban developments to large complex sites. With significant investment being made into the Bristol office, you will be joining the team at an exciting time, with excellent prospects for long–term progression and increased responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver highways designs for Section 38 and Section 278 works.

Develop drainage strategies and detailed designs for Section 104 and Section 185 submissions.

Produce accurate technical drawings and models using AutoCAD, Civil3D and InfoDrainage or equivalent software.

Support earthworks assessments, feasibility studies and technical reporting.

Engage with clients, local authorities and stakeholders to support project delivery.

Contribute to project planning, resource management and quality assurance processes.

Work collaboratively with senior engineers while taking ownership of your own design tasks.

About You

Experience within a UK civil engineering consultancy, ideally across multiple sectors.

Good knowledge of Section Agreements including 38, 278, 104 and 185.

Confident user of AutoCAD, Civil3D, InfoDrainage or similar design tools.

Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and project teams.

Organised, proactive and capable of managing your workload effectively.

At least three years' industry experience and a desire to progress toward professional accreditation.

Why This Role?

You will join a friendly and collaborative civil engineering team that values innovation, quality and professional development. The consultancy offers hybrid working, flexible holiday options and genuine progression opportunities. You will work on interesting and varied projects, gain autonomy in delivering your own schemes and benefit from a positive environment where career growth is encouraged. With new regional leadership driving expansion in the Bristol office, you will be well placed to take advantage of future opportunities and help shape the team's success.
