Donnington, every other Friday off.

Starting salary £31,200 starting salary, rising to £36,000+ once fully qualified + full training and development and long-term career prospects.

In this role, the successful candidate would join a well-established and clean workshop where you will be given the opportunity to have "on the job" training and development opportunities from highly skilled individuals, while you further your career, gain more vital skills and qualifications within engineering and the opportunity to progress in your career in the short and long term; either a mechanical engineer, vehicle mechanic or branch out into other areas of engineering within the business or into leadership roles.

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of a level 2 within a mechanical or vehicle related qualification and be eager to pursue a career within a global UK defence and engineering business.

The Role:

Diagnose, inspect and assess vehicles and associated mechanical or electrical equipment in line skills and competency

Ensure stores and equipment issued to job are used for their correct purpose and un-used or new faulty material is returned to the section or department Team Leader as soon as it is identified

Creation of job cards and demanding material where the relevant ERP (SAP) training has been completed

Completion of vehicle and equipment documentation and test certificates or reports to current standardsThe Person:

Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering and/or Vehicle Maintenance Repair or similar.
