A lovely family of five based in Notting Hill are seeking an experienced full time housekeeper / cook to help maintain their beautiful four-storey home while preparing fresh, nutritious meals for the family. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, organised and reliable candidate who enjoys balancing high-quality housekeeping with confident family cooking. The role is available on either a live in or live out basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a private household, be able to work independently and have excellent attention to detail. Applicants should also be comfortable working in a home with two small dogs. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are essential.

Duties include:

maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the four-storey home
cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and reception rooms
vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
making beds and changing bed linen
organising cupboards, wardrobes and household storage areas
keeping the home tidy, clutter free and well presented
preparing fresh, healthy breakfasts, lunches and evening meals for the family
planning weekly menus and accommodating dietary preferences
shopping for groceries and household supplies when required
maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
monitoring household stock and replenishing essentials
running household errands when required
being comfortable around the family’s two small dogs
liaising with the family to ensure the household runs smoothly
ensuring the home remains clean, organised and welcoming at all times
