Description
Royal Doulton dinner service (6 person x 4 pieces) dated 1982, "Romance Collection - Melissa".
Cream fine bone china (ever-so-slightly translucent) with blue-grey borders and silver gilding. (Incorporating bone-ash into the clay gives the porcelain increased strength, its creamy colour and its translucency).
6 x dinner plates,10.7" (27cm) diameter
6 x side ("tea") plates, 6.6" (16.5cm) diameter
6 x tea cups
6 x saucers, 6.1" (15.5cm) diameter
Please view the photo gallery. Any preceived marks or blemishes in the images are merely light reflections or distortions except for one 0.2" (5mm) scratch on one of the side plates, highlighted with purple arrows on one of the images.
