CAD Designer - experience in cabinet making & CNC manufacturing

Salary £30,000

The company:

Leessa Bespoke joinery workshop in Welwyn Garden City specialises in the manufacture and installation of high end, one off projects and furniture for our clients in and around London. Our manufacturing facility has the capability to produce everything onsite including spray booths to provide the perfect finish for your finished pieces.

Our projects consist mainly of kitchens & bathrooms, bedroom furniture and wine cellars for some of the top Interior Designers and Architects in the UK. We also have a steady stream of one off exciting projects for the retail, fashion and events industries as well as for high net worth individuals.

Our team consists of CAD designers, joiners, cabinet makers, paint sprayers, installers and a team of professionals supporting you through the process from start to finish. The company directors are very much part of the team and get involved helping to guide the clients and the team throughout the projects.

We are in the process of setting up a CNC Workshop and are looking for an ambitious CAD designer to help set up this side of the business.

About you:

Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years working as CAD Designer producing high quality furniture to exacting standards.
You must be confident that you will be able to help set up the processes and procedures in creating and executing the workflow. Be able to build the library or standard items using parametric design to create bespoke variations along a product line as well as producing completely one off items and projects.
You must have experience in the bespoke furniture making industry specifically with cabinetry. You will understand the hardware that is used in this industry and be able to incorporate smart parts into your models.
You should be confident using software that encompasses the full CAD CAM & CNC production cycle. You must be able to read and produce technical drawings and an understanding of AutoCAD and other CAD programs is essential.
You will have had experience working with a wide range of materials such as MDF, real wood veneers, solid wood & MFC.
You must be able to produce cutting & hardware lists and ensure that these parts are ordered and ready for the team when they are required.

Please send your cv outlining your previous experience including pictures of your favourite projects that you have designed yourself. We offer a competitive salary based on your experience.
