Description

Randstad C&P are currently seeking an experienced Multi–Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our clients Facilities Management team on a static commercial site in Darlington. This is a full–time, permanent position working Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high–quality maintenance and reactive services across a wide range of building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC, heating and plumbing systems.Conduct fault–finding and repairs on mechanical equipment and associated plantPerform general plumbing work such as pipework repairs, valve replacements, and fixture maintenanceSupport general building fabric maintenance including doors, locks, tiling, patch painting, and other minor worksComplete all works to a high standard in compliance with health & safety regulations and company proceduresUse CAFM/mobile systems to log and update job progress accuratelyLiaise with the site team and end users to ensure minimal disruption and clear communicationParticipate in site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessions

Key Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentAdditional skills/experience in electrical, plumbing, or building fabric maintenanceProven experience in a similar role within a Facilities Management or building services environmentStrong understanding of health & safety practicesComfortable using digital job management systems (CAFM)Reliable, proactive, and customer–focused approachInterested?
