Victorian Pitch Pine & Mahogany Bun Handle Chest of Drawers,
circa 1870's.
We are delighted to offer this wonderful English Victorian period antique pine chest of drawers. Comes in a rustic rich amber gold, solid pitch pine wood with contrasting rich mahogany turned bun handles. A two over two stacked drawer arranagement with deeper blanket drawer at the base. Dovetail jointed drawers, roll over edge gallery detail raised on turned pedestal feet.
This chest comes direct from a recent grand estate sale & is sold in superb as found antique age related condition. It has lots & lots of lovely age related rustic surface charm, marks, scuffs & dinks, all in keeping with its great age. Despite its rustic look all the drawers run nicely & chest remains in good strong usable condition. Its warm amber gold colour ensures this chest displays very nicely indeed. It's been properly cleaned inside & out, lightly waxed & so is now ready to use, love & enjoy again. Fabulous age related patina to the wood. It's style & design is typical of it's Victorian period & so would date nicely to circa 1870's.
