Description
Role: Private Chef
Days: Sundays
Hours: 10:00am-6:30pm (lunch at 12:30 and dinner at 17:30: occasional entertaining)
Location: Chiswick (Turnham Green Tube)
Rate: £250-£350 per day
Contract: Ongoing / permanent
Start: ASAP
We are seeking a Sunday Chef for a relaxed, warm and friendly British Family of three based in Chiswick
The Family comprise 2 adults and a 7-year-old child who enjoy eating together and value thoughtful cooking with a high level of care and attention that feels generous, well-seasoned and balanced
Enjoying Family-style-cooking, dishes should be fresh, and flavour-led using herbs, spices, citrus and stocks rather than cream or butter. Mediterranean, Asian, Japanese, Mexican influences are welcomed. Comfort with roasts, fish cookery, curries, broths, ramen and barbecues. The ability to listen to feedback and adapt weekly to the family’s likes and dislikes is important.
The chef will prepare lunch at 12:30 and dinner at 17:30. Occasionally, the family host informal lunches or dinners for up to 12 guests. These should be well-presented but not too formal in style. Plated service is preferred for small dinners.
The Family have two cats, so applicants must be comfortable with pets. There is on-road free-parking and Turnham Green tube is also very nearby
To apply for this role you must;
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Have a valid DBS check or be willing to obtain one
• Have excellent contactable references
Have a food image portfolio or food images
• Have 3-5+ years’ experience working as a Chef within a private household
