Description

At OSR we are the embodiment of hospitality with soul, therefore, it is important that our chef is able to touch our customers' souls through the delicious African/Afro-Caribbean cuisines that will be served at OSR.

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef, capable of being trained, motivating, and developing within the team. You should be resilient and have a strong drive to contribute to our business's success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain exceptional standards and meticulous attention to detail throughout all kitchen operations.

• Exhibit creativity in developing menus for our restaurant, constantly striving for innovative culinary experiences.

• Lead the team by actively working on the front line and overseeing the pass.

• Contribute to the creation and implementation of food and beverage (F&B) strategies

• Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of fresh and pre-prepared food items to a high standard.

• Ensure unit financial targets are achieved by effective food ordering, minimizing wastage, following recipes

• Provide training and development opportunities for the culinary team.

• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

• Possess previous experience cooking African and Afro-Caribbean food.

• Proactively seek menu feedback, respond accurately, and adapt menus as necessary.

• Display resilience, ambition, and drive to contribute to the success of our establishment.
