Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide specialised care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments
Administer medication following prescribed schedules and protocols
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
Support patients with mobility challenges through safe transfer and positioning techniques
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in health status
Support families by providing updates on client condition and offering emotional support
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including first aid procedures when needed
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, and senior care
Experience with medication administration and behaviour management techniques
Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response protocols
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving client transportation
Experience in childcare or heavy lifting is considered a plus but not essential
Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and organisational abilities
