Description
A Personal Care Assistant who speaks Italian is required to help support a 74-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s disease, living with her family in Islington N1.
Brief job description
One visit each week: 18 hours on Monday to Saturdays 12pm-3pm (coffee and sandwiches/cakes provided). Duties include providing moral support; making friends with the client so that she becomes comfortable with the right candidate. There might be a few light domestic tasks but the main purpose is to get to know the client.
Ability to speak Italian, a cheerful attitude, and patience are essential. The client has a very strong personality but, once she gets used to someone, she can be very affectionate and sociable.
Reliability and punctuality are also essential.
Pay: £13.15 per hour, gross - paid weekly via bank transfer BACS.
A satisfactory DBS check and good references are essential to this post. The right candidate should agree to a thorough DBS check, provided and paid for by the employer.
