Replacement Engine Supply & Fit Service

Finding a good replacement engine was not the only thing in order to get standard performance from Mercedes Sprinter but a good engine supply and fitting service also plays a vital role in it.



However, the span of warranty is depended on the type and condition of your demanded engine. Normally it is from 3 to 6 months

All engines are thoroughly cleaned, checked, measured, machined and then rebuilt with the following new parts.

So, what do you do to your Reconditioned Engines?

All our reconditioned engines go through an extensive engine reconditioning process which includes at least the following:

Cylinder head de-greased, pressure tested and skimmed

All valve seats re-cut

Valves resurfaced

All cylinders checked or honed

Brand new headset installed (includes new valve stem seals)

Brand new head gasket installed

Brand new piston rings installed

Brand new big end bearings installed

Brand new main bearings installed

bottom set installed (including new front and rear crankshaft seal)

Brand new oil pump installed

timing chain kit inspected cleaned and replaced if necessary
DUPLEX TIMING CHAIN UPGRADE OPTIONAL (£300) EXTRA





Engine Background Information



Manufactured by Nissan engine is not only used widely in Navara/ Pathfinder/ Cabstar vehicles but a range of other commercial VEHICLES, . It is a predecessor to the Euro 5 engine.



Engine Failures and Issues



This is one of the most popular engines sold by us and therefore we know the general causes of engine failure! And how to prevent it! The majority of the 2.5 NAVARA exchange engines that pass through Q A Parts either have CYLINDERHEAD & crank issues which is always down to negligence (lack of servicing) or general wear on crankshaft bearings, or conrod bolts issues, piston failure of which is mainly down to the fuel injectors, we would always seriously recommend testing and if necessary changing your fuel injectors at certain points throughout the vehicles life span.



Terms And Conditions





• Our engines are sold on an exchange basis, unless agreed otherwise we do require a surcharge payment to be made prior to the engine being delivered. The surcharge is then refunded upon the return of the old engine



• Exchange / Surcharge engine units need to be supplied in the exact same manner the reconditioned engine has been supplied, a COMPLETE bare block without any ancillaries such as seized injectors, if not, this could affect the amount refunded of the surcharge.



• Exchange / Surcharge engine units need to be received by Q A Parts in a recondition-able state meaning engines cannot have cracks or holes in the cylinder head or engine block, if this is the case the amount refunded from the surcharge could be affected Surcharge for a damaged outer engine block engine is around £500 I.e. having a conrod punching a hole through the engine. In a nut-shell engine needs to be serviceable if not then what is damaged and rendered unserviceable will need to be replaced, we will contact customers for approval of any extra works required and work with them for the best available solution



• Unless supplied by NEW by Q A Parts Ltd, ancillaries are not covered under the engine warranty



• We strongly advise that before fitting any reconditioned engine ALL the ancillary components must be checked and thoroughly cleaned. Check the turbo and get the fuel injectors tested by properly by a diesel specialist. If any metal has previously passed through the engine, we strongly recommend replacing the oil cooler. ALWAYS use the manufacturer's suggested oil grade and amount, replace the oil filter. Failure to do the above can cause engine failure which will not be covered under our engine warranty





• As a precaution Q A Parts Ltd urge an oil and oil filter change within the first 500 miles of use. We would also propose keeping the RPM below 3000 to allow the engine parts to be ‘embedded’
