1992 Talbot Express 1300P - Compass Calypso coachbuilt - 2 Berth

private reg ( ghy )

This has the 2 litre (1971cc) chain driven petrol engine which has had the oil & filter changed every year since I have owned her despite only averaging around 1500 miles per year. The emissions readings reflect this with CO of 0.09% (max permitted 3.50%) & HC of 21 ppm (max permitted 1200 ppm).

MOT(valid until 19/4/2018), with no advisories. All the CV boots have been replaced over the last three years together with the bottom ball joint and track rod end rubbers. The brake pads and shoes have at least 50% remaining & the previous owner replaced the clutch around 16,000 miles ago at approx 75,000 miles just before we purchased the vehicle in Nov 2007, so there should be many years of inexpensive motoring available which makes this an excellent first/starter motorhome which comprises the following:-

2 Litre petrol engine
5 speed manual gearbox
Factory Coachbuilt body
Grayson Spring Assisters
Winterised with double glazing
Propex blown air central heating
Internal insulated cab screens (old but useable)
4 ring LPG gas Hob, Grill & Oven (Vanette 2000)
Onboard Freshwater & Wastewater tanks
Bathroom with Shower, Sink, Thetford flush toilet, mirrored bathroom cabinet
Hot & cold water
Carver Cascade2 gas water heater
Zig control panel & remote charging unit/power supply
Electrolux Fridge with ice box - LPG, 240volt, 12volt all fully working
Wardrobe with 2 drawers under
Lots of under seat & cupboard storage
Roof rack
Rear access ladder
Rear canopy light
Top roof vent
Sliding windows with blinds & fly screens
Leisure battery
6kg calor lpg bottle (empty)
Water refill hose & connectors
Electric hook-up lead
Service & repair manual on CD

Original installation/maintenance manuals and compass owners handbook

All mechanical parts are still readily available and extremely cheap to buy. Repairs to this model are incredibly easy and inexpensive. I have all previous MOT's demonstrate the genuine mileage.

When we first took delivery we scraped the chassis, waxoiled it and greased the brake pipes so the underneath is surprisingly good for it's year and the Grayson
rear spring assisters have given it a nice, stable ride and removed the usual saggy bottom often a feature of these motorhomes.

Viewing is in DY13 - ring me, TREV 07852 138633 to arrange - any inspection is welcome.
