Pilote Galaxy 86MX based on a Talbot Express 2.5TD registered in 1992. MOT until 07/05/18 (we have just taken the test for a potential buyer - no advisories). Mileage approx 119,000 miles (mileometer changed at approximately 115,000 miles - recorded on MOT history).

We have owned, maintained and loved the van for nearly 3 years, however are looking to upgrade.

At 24 years old, it is looking pretty good, but inevitably has signs of wear and tear.

The engine has been re-built. A quick list of all work that has been carried out; cylinder head skim, new head gaskets and bolts, replacement cambelt, radiator flush, new engine cooling water pump, new thermostat, new cooling fans, new starter motor, new indicator and headlight stalks, fuel tank and sender, new hydraulic arm for drop down bed, new windscreen, wiper motor, new engine and leisure batteries, new water supply pump, replacement wiring to rear lights. Receipts will be provided.

Freeview TV with rear DVD/CD player and aerial (available when hooked up only) and rear view camera included in the sale. Top box and cycles not included.

The accommodation comprises of 3 double beds (one that drops down from over the cab), sofa style seating with front 'captains chairs', gas oven, gas 3 ring hob, sink, 3-way fridge, Thetford toilet, shower/sink, water heater, wardrobe, storage cupboards, table at rear, air blown heating* and heater* (* needs a part to function - we never needed either as we used a fan heater). We have never used the shower as always pitched up on campsites.

The awning in the last photo is included - it is a Movelite Pro Maxi Classic with an annexe (worth around £400), 1 year old; used 4 times. See Johns Cross products outdoor revolution movelite pro-maxi classic (link not allowed).

It will cruise at 60mph on the motorway where it is flat and reach 75mph downhill. It is fun to drive in a leisurely way.

We thought we had a buyer, but they realised they needed a licence upgrade to drive the vehicle fully loaded. I now know it is advisable to have a Category C1 licence (i.e. a car licence issued before 1 January 1997, or if your car licence is on/after you have undertaken a C1 test). Its kerb (unladen) weight is 3,100kg.

This is a motorhome that has plenty of years left in it with a little TLC. The end of an era for us, the beginning for you!
