Ford E-150 econoline camper
Reasonable on fuel due to being serviced, like a european 2.5 L fuel economy. American are twice as fuel effecient as european engines for the same size. Therefore not too bad at all.
This is a classic motorhome with carved wood and a chrome kitchen unit with new mains transformer. It has had a lot of work on it, and work continues. Main features of it are:
-fold down queen size bed,
-dark tinted windows
-rear subwoofer and stereo with indash DVD
-tow bar with electrics
-kitchen unit has a sink, and 2 gas burners and barm warmer
-small cool box
-3 swivel seats
-2 new door speakers
-front opening quarter windows
-fully carpeted interior including engine cover
-2 white drawers from under bed and kitchen unit
-2 white doors for a cover for the sink and to make matching cupboards
-has a brand new mains transformmer kit and external socket installed
-2 large blinds are available for the rear side windows, and 2 small blinds for the barn doors window.
Servicing is exhaustive and includes, but not limited to in the 2 years we have had it:
-2 oil changes including filters, engine flush and fuel treatment
-spark plugs, water change, air filter, and brake fluid
-heater radiator, water pump and thermostat replaced
-electrical including new heater fan, resistor, passenger window,
starter motor, alternator, starter solenoid and rear accent lights.
-mechanical including new front discs and pads, 3 trac rod ends, rear brake cylinders, 4 new tires and bodywork.
-this vehicle could pull a row of houses and not notice it.
-body work includes roof and white around the bottom area. Had fiberglassing above drivers door area, and repair to passengers door. It has gone in for a respray all the red, any rust will be ground out, and fiberglassing to any areas needed. Hence it is a vehicle with a full body respray, and anyone who knows bodywork knows expensive. The autobodychap fell and cracked his skull, but go got better so there is no wait, as it is finished. Looks great, now, I will get some pics of it on now, looks too good to be true. The auto bodychap ground out anyrust, put fiberglass in if it leaked, metal fller if required for strength, and body filler where it was required.
Going into shop soon to get the mains transformer wired, and secure the kitchen sink unit, there is some white wood for a lid for the kitchen unit and to make to some cupboard doors, there are 2 matching drawers, one for under the kitchen unit, and one for under the rear bed at the back. Overall the camper is stunning with red and white throughout the inside and two tone on the outside.
