Description

About us:

I'm Andrea and here is for sale my partner Mark's Ford Transit campervan.

I'm selling it of his behalf because he's got no patience with computers (I'm the techy), so I do all of that!

If you have questions I strongly suggest you call/text Mark on 078 18 757 277.

He's a former mechanical engineer, now a roofer and an avid kite-surfer so if he doesn't answer you it's because he's busy with one of those things. Just leave him a message.

We are genuine people and want to make sure that there's no issues with the sale so please come and view - SA11RR postcode

About the van:

It's a former British Rail day van and was bought in 2011 with the Clark's conversion already done. It has some wear and tear as could be expected

It has full service history by British Rail up to 2011.

After 2011, this is the work that was done by Mark:
Regular oil/filter changes (needs oil change again)
New pulley in the front of the engine
New front wheel bearings discs and pads
New clutch and fly wheel last year (done by North road service station, Gower)
New EGR valve last year (done by Alex Lewis garage, Gower)
New rear brake servo and brake shoes on both sides for MOT last year
The front cab is very clean and tidy. Always had seat covers so there's little or no wear on the seats (will add pic in due course)

There is no insulation on the side panels but Mark used it to travel through the Alps snowboarding with no issue, just using the air heater and adding thick curtains

Van has separate living and "garage" compartments.

About the living compartment:

It is in great condition and is fitted a raised wooden deck which can be removed. This keeps it always clean to walk on and dries much quicker than vinyl (you'll know what I mean if you get in a bit wet and sandy from the beach)

Easily accomodates surf board(s) strapped in as you can see from the pics.

It has:
Tinted windows, one of which has a little hatch window (great for ventilation and passing cups of tea)
12 v interior light
12v-240v inverter with 3 pin/UK socket outlet
Stereo with separate amplifier
Erberspacher diesel heater
Microwave which runs off the inverter
Gas hob
Hot and Cold water onto a removble stainless steel bowl (hot via a 12v water heater)
Two leisure batteries
Rock and roll bed, size double
Removable table
Multiple shelves
Storage compartment above cab
Plenty more space above/below worktops to add extra storage

About the "garage" compartment:

It has been kept in great condition - wet kit was never allowed to stay there.

From getting Mark's mountain bike in there (taking front wheel off) to keeping the rubbish, it has been super practical having that separate area.

It has:
Multiple shelves
Several coat hooks
Upright tubing storage (great to keep rods/tools/broom upright)
Heavy duty metal safety box (where BT kept some explosives)
Stainless shower tray. Great for drying wetsuits, boots, kite-surf kit, etc
Gas bottle (much safer than having it in the living compartment)
Flood light which can come one when you open the door

Reason for Sale:

The van needs to go because, I'm expecting a baby (so we need the cash) and Mark now uses my car when he goes to the beach. We also have a much larger Mercedes camper. Nothing to do with problems with the van itself.

Engine always ran great without any issues!

I urge you again to please ring/text and speak to Mark and cover any detail I may have missed.

Thanks
