Description
Here we have my 2005 BMW E53 X5. It has the M57 engine which has been remapped so goes really well. Private plate will be removed before sale.
Never intended on selling this car but it gets very little use and don’t want to see it go to waste. I’ve owned it since 2021.
It has (prices stated are cost of parts alone not labour and parts):
Upgraded custom flat bottom steering wheel (£320)
Hardwired dashcam (£113.97)
Upgraded stereo with Bluetooth, sat nav etc (£217.43)
Towbar (£336)
Front and rear cameras which are moulded into bumpers (£179.99)
Newer style gearknob
Newer style rear wiper
Full black leather interior, no rips, fronts are heated
Colour coded bumpers
Wider fender flares (£178.82)
Heavy duty boot liner (£21.89)
Dynamic side repeaters (£16.43)
Clear rear lights (£149.99)
Grey m style instrument gauges normally only on petrol version
Has digital head up display for speedo
Anderson plug for rear incase battery ever died can easily jump so central locking would work again and gain access to car
Reversing camera although was never very good
Hardwired MagSafe car phone charger too.
There is probably more but can’t think of them off the top of my head. As I said never planed on selling so wasn’t that fussed on keeping receipts just bought what was needed and what I felt would improve it.
Recently replaced:
Rear upper and lower control arms (£99.99)
Front lower control arms (109.99)
Two rear tyres
Front steering rack ends (£31)
Steering rack boot (£22.90)
Rear left brake flexi hose (£25.95)
Tailgate handle (£34)
Rear brake backing plates (£39.95)
Fuel rail pressure sensor (£45)
Bonnet struts (£22)
Interior led bulbs (£18.70)
Headlights are upgraded to led too.
Front door handles recently replaced but for some reason no longer lock with central locking. I assume wire off or something simple.
Paintwork is ok for 21 year old car. No rust.
Has two keys and some receipts but has full service history.
All the work done recently will keep this in the road for many years. Underneath has been protected so not rusty like these can be.
This is the last of the E53’s before the road tax doubles. With the remap I’m regularly averaging 35mpg doing school run and general around town driving. On a run it’s brilliant on fuel and so comfy.
Grab a bargain.
