Tamesis Dock & The Battersea Barge are quirky barges permanently moored near Vauxhall & Nine Elms, we do live music, events, food and drinks.

Job Summary

To help take the business to the next level and bring the best out of the teams at all times to ensure customers, the team and the business thrive and go from strength to strength (while doing all the day to day and nitty gritty).

What we're looking for

Positive, driven, self motivated, hard working, able to work independently and has the experience to know what to do, focused and a team player. Involved with events; kitchen; bar 7 floor: DMN events experience a bonus!

What we offer

A friendly family backed business offering a nice team and work environment. Tamesis Dock is going in to her 17th year.

We're 2 permanently moored boats on the river (Tamesis Dock & The Battersea Barge)- pub/ bar, live music & event spaces which offer food and drinks (we make our own pizzas but would like to expand this).

We've hosted wide range of events from birthdays to corporate and weddings (including Dawn Porter & Chris O Dowd's wedding) as well as bands including Bastille & Local Natives. We're quirky, have personality and a very loved part of the community and been credited in numerous publications eg London's best Beer Gardens (Topjaw),Londons best Quirky bars & Pubs (Time Out), 5 Stunning Bars around the World (Conde Nast Traveller), UK's 20 Best Waterside Pubs (The Guardian), Londons Top 10 Pubs by the River Thames (The Financial Times) ...

The list goes on....however there is much still to be done to get us to where we need to be and fulfil the boat and the teams potential

We're exceptionally busy but also seasonal.

1. Job duties (including but not limited to):

Supervising the events, administration and being hands on
Keeping up with industry trends and generating new business opoortunities
Managing, training and developing staff.
Maintaining food hygiene, health & safety.
Managing events and daily operations.
Managing budgets.
Monitoring stock, supplies & staff rota costs.
Monitoring and ordering supplies and inventory.
Planning rotas.
