CLUB MANAGER
LAZY LIZARD – NEW SITE!
MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE
SALARY: £26,000 - £32,000 DOE

Mark Andrew Developments, the independent group behind some of the city’s leading bars and restaurants such as Walrus, Rosylee and Hula, are adding another venue to their portfolio.
The biggest one yet, we are opening an 800+ capacity Ibizan late-night bar, located in the heart of the City Centre. Taking inspiration from iconic bars and clubs from the White Isle, we are set to become Manchester hottest new venue for House Music.

The bar will operate till 4am Thursday -Saturday with the opportunity for private hire, buyouts and one-off club nights on the remaining days. On split levels, this large space boasts a 200+ capacity VIP mezzanine, state of the art sound systems and light projections, and will attract world class DJs, events and performers.

Exited? So are we! Now that works has begun on the building, we are looking for a superstar Assistant General Manager to head up our new venue and help us build it from the very beginning.

A love of hedonism, house music and all things Ibizan is advantageous, along with proven track record in a similar fast-paced, cocktail led, late night, high volume business.

What we need from you as an Assistant General Manager:

• Have at least 5 years previous management experience within a quality, fast-paced bar environment.
• Have a passion for high quality drinks and delivering the highest levels of service.
• Must be proficient on the bar, with strong cocktail knowledge and menu development.
• Be a hands on manager – this is not the job for people who want to hide in the office!
• Be a clear and concise communicator.
• Have the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Experience of writing rota’s, working within cost constraints and a sound understanding of PNL reports.
• Strong experience in managing margin and completing weekly liquor stock takes.
• Have the ability to motivate and manage a team and create a strong teamwork ethic.
• Ability to run the venue in the General Manager’s absence

The Assistant General Manager will be the integral cog in the management team, making sure that all operational requirements are met, running the venue, and leading the team.

You will be expected to undertake customer facing roles where necessary such as complaint handling, working on the bar, serving our guests, managing the queue/host team and dealing with venue enquiries.
