Live-in Nanny / Cook – Lisbon, Portugal

We are seeking a dedicated, caring, and flexible Live-in Nanny/Cook to join a family in Lisbon. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on providing loving childcare whilst also preparing meals for the family. The ideal candidate will be independent, reliable, and passionate about caring for children, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for the children (ages 2, 4, and 6), including play, learning activities, and daily routines.
Prepare healthy, balanced, and enjoyable meals for the children and family.
Help organise and maintain the household, including tidying up after the children and managing basic household tasks.
Travel with the family as needed.
Be flexible with days off, occasionally swapping days to accommodate the family’s schedule.
Demonstrate dedication, pride in work, and a proactive approach to caring for the children and the home.

Requirements:

Experience with children is required; a natural affinity and enjoyment in caring for them is essential.
Must speak Portuguese; Spanish is a plus but not required.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Willingness to learn and develop additional skills as needed.
Flexible, adaptable, and reliable.
Long-term commitment preferred.
Must hold an EU passport or have legal rights to work in Portugal.

Employment Details:

Live-in position at a private family residence in Lisbon.
Days off: Tuesday + Wednesday, plus one weekend off per month.
Contracted through the family company with a 1-month trial period.
Salary: €950 net/month during trial, with review and potential increase based on performance.
