Vintage "Singer Featherweight" ~ 222K ~ with Case & accessories.

This Singer Featherweight "222K" free arm sewing machine is said to be the "finest Singer model ever produced". Please be aware that the machine is wired for UK voltage and it would need to be checked and PAT tested by a qualified electrician if you intend to use it.
The machine is in "as found" condition, it has retained much of its' original black paint finish and gilt decoration.
It has very minimal wear marks and is in excellent condition although some small wear marks are to be expected due to its age. The chrome work has retained virtually all of its' finish and it is still bright.

The front of the machine slides out, well and the retaining bolt is present. The front folds up and down as it should and the bobbin case is present.
This machine runs but I have not sewn anything with it. The light works, as does the foot pedal with the cable being intact and in good condition. The rubber feet are all present and the machine sits flat. I have tried to show its true condition in the photographs.

The serial number is EL 186147 dating it to March 1956. The machine has its carrying case with internal tray and a few accessories including its instruction book and lubricating oil. The handle is well attached and the catches work as they should. The case has some scuffs and marks but this doesn't reduce its integrity or function.
