LOT NOTES
Beautiful example of folk art from the early 20th century, portraing a young couple, likely painted before the husband went to war.
The name of the sitters is unknown, and we wonder whether (and hope) he returned home to his family.

A poignant and beautiful portraial of a young man and lady, whose lives were, as many others of that generation, deeply affected by the tragic events of WW1.
CONDITION
In good condition for their age, presented in what it would appear to be the original frame in the style of the period. Simple yet pleasant, dark brown frame.
