Lovely rustic pine library steps, artisan-made and pre-loved.

Description

This lovely set of artisan rustic library steps have real character with a worn look and great patina. Modelled on a classic Victorian design, they are hand made in the mid 20th century by English craftsmen and have been a much-loved feature of our family home for many years.

The dark stain pine shows a timeworn established patina and the steps are perfect for practical or decorative use adding character and style to a contemporary or practical interior. They sit well in a library, study, bedroom, kitchen or living room or a retail space/workshop/design studio.

The hand carved support pole has chamfered edges above the top step, with four inset treads below. Housed in a traditional ''A'' frame of tapering form with a cross-frame bar, each smooth, chamfered tread is supported with a metal bar underneath. The treads taper from 29cm at the base to 23cm at the top step.

Mobile and easy to carry, the steps are solid and sturdy and full working order for regular use.

Condition
This lovely piece is in very good condition. Please note that the frame has some minor scuffs and marks associated with a piece of this age. A reluctant sale due to downsizing.
