This is a superb quality antique French needlework hand stitched petit point tapestry in a Rosewood frame, circa 1810-1830, in fantastic original condition.

This is a superb quality antique French needlework hand stitched petit point tapestry in a Rosewood frame, circa 1810-1830, in very good original condition. The tapestry, which shows superb craftsmanship and quality, with superb vibrant colours, is completely original. The tapestry is mounted in a rosewood frame, with gilt beading, which boasts a lovely grain configuration and colour.

This tapestry would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hallway, living room or bedroom. This item base would certainly grace any home. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of art.

Condition Report:
The wool tapestry is in excellent original condition, with no signs of degradation or damage to the embroidered coloured wool. The colours are still vibrant and have not faded. The rosewood frame is also in very good condition, with nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The frame incorporates a hanging wire and it is ready to be hung. Please see photos for details
