Selling our collections (hoards) of mostly French vintage items that have been acquired over many years until finally we have no room for more!
*
We got these at a vide maison, or house sale, at Troyes in the Champagne region some years ago and have displayed them on a drinks cabinet.
These had been originally used as “essential” hunting accessories by a relative of the owner for many years.
Dating to the early 1900s and consisting of a set of six quality brass stirrup cups and a matching tray.
These were originally silver plated but the cups have now worn down to brass whilst the tray is still silvered, albeit worn.
*
Now well used and worn but in good, sound antique condition with wear, knocks and tarnishing consistent with age and use but no damage - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
The cups are bright but with some tarnishing and faint traces of silver plate just visible to some - see photos.
The interiors are in similar condition.
They are worn and one has some dents to the base but they are sound.
There is an attractive ribbon design around the upper circumference matching the design in the tray.
The cups fit inside each other.
The tray is quite brightly silvered and has black tarnishing in places due to the silver content.
It is also in a worn condition with a ribbon design around its edge and to the handles.

Measures approximately:
Cups - 4 cm tall, 3.5 cm diameter,
Tray, 30.5 cm x 9 cm,
Weighs about 250 g in total.
