Description
MIXED ROLE - ANIMAL, CARE, DOMESTIC, HOUSEKEEPING AND ELDERLY CARE
Pay is £185 per 24 hour shift
FULL TIME accommodation and bills are provided and food is provided on work days.
The client needs assistance with food preparation, washing, dressing, is continent but needs showing to the toilet and support around hand washing, general house cleaning, trips out to visit family in their home, taking to services in the cathedral or for lunch.
You will also need to be willing to work four plus hours OUTSIDE in all weathers on a regular basis helping the family with their WILDLIFE RESCUE
DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING AND ABLE TO DO PHYSICAL OUTSIDE WORK AND HOUSEKEEPING IN LARGE PROPERTY.
The mixed role allows for family members to remain hands on with the clent with dementia who lives nearby.
The job is PHYSICALLY DEMANDING!
Accommodation is provided in a house separate to and a car journey away from where the client lives to give a complete break from work.
The work is part time and would suit someone who is studying, a writer, artist or who has other projects you need to work on throughout the week.
The client herself before dementia, worked as a teacher, wrote musicals and songs, was a violinist and also trained as a psychotherapeutic counsellor.
There is a family cat in the property with the client and both daughters have dogs which are regular visitors.
The client is the mother of Dr Sasha Norris who runs Herefordshire Wildlife Rescue and accommodation will be provided there in Bodenham in North Herefordshire.
You will have a large bedroom within a large farmhouse, with self-contained bathroom, kitchenette with microwave, sink and fridge and access to the family kitchen, a separate space for work could potentially be provided. The property is set within the Bodenham Lake Nature reserve, It is on a hillside AND SOME OF THE WORK IS OUTSIDE WALKING UP AND DOWN HILLS IN ALL WEATHERS DOING YARD WORK AND ANIMAL CARE
The family live an ecofriendly lifestyle, have interests in literature, music and science. In the grounds of the house, animals ranging from a weasel to donkeys, owls, swans and rabbits are cared for!
