Driver/Warehouse Operative

Job Type: Full-time / Permanent

Salary: 28,840 per yearWe are seeking a dedicated Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our clients fantastic team. This dual role involves 50% driving and 50% warehouse duties, requiring a dynamic individual who can efficiently handle both responsibilities. You will be driving to their customers locally in the Northeast and across the UK, as well as performing various warehouse tasks to ensure our operations run smoothly.

Day-to-day of the role:

Transport and delivery of goods to customers both locally and nationally.

Safe handling and offloading of incoming deliveries, examining products, and matching these with supplier purchase orders.

Picking and packing customer orders to prevent damage and ensuring dispatch meets customer requirements.

Conducting daily stock checks and maintaining the warehouse and storage yard to keep them safe, clean, and tidy.

Assisting customers at our trade counter, handling card and credit card transactions.

Adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations within the warehouse environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Mandatory:

Full clean driving licence.

A 7.5T and a current CPC Licence.

Proven working experience as a warehouse worker.

Current forklift licence.

Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.

Good organisational and time management skills.

Ability to lift heavy objects and handle physically demanding tasks.

Desired:

Manual handling certificate.

Strong interpersonal skills and enjoyment in creating new business relationships.

Level-headed and empathetic approach.
