About the Role:

As the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer, you will be the sole onsite representative responsible for implementing and managing a comprehensive HS&E strategy. Working autonomously, you’ll play a vital role in fostering a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk Assessment & Incident Management:

*

Conduct risk assessments and inspections to identify hazards.

*

Document incidents, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

*

Assist in creating SOPs with a strong focus on HS&E.

*

HSE Training & Awareness:

*

Develop and deliver safety training for employees and contractors.

*

Promote a culture of safety and ensure proper use of PPE.

*

Collaborate across departments to integrate HS&E into daily operations.

*

Emergency Preparedness & Response:

*

Develop, implement, and test emergency response plans.

*

Coordinate with emergency services and conduct drills.

*

Continuous Improvement:

*

Monitor HS&E performance metrics and provide reports to management.

*

Recommend and implement program improvements.

Skills and Competencies:

*

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.

*

Certification in HS&E practices (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA).

*

Minimum of 3 years of HS&E experience, preferably in manufacturing environments involving flammable and COSHH materials.

*

Strong knowledge of HS&E regulations.

*

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and emergency management skills.

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
