Description

Join the UK's leading defence company as a MIG/MAG Welder working on the prestigious Boxer Programme—a cutting-edge military vehicle initiative. You’ll operate in a state-of-the-art facility as part of a dedicated fabrication team delivering mission-critical equipment to the Ministry of Defence. Full training and certification support will be provided to ensure your qualifications meet EN ISO (phone number removed) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG/MAG welding on armour plates in line with engineering drawings and work instructions.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies and identify hazards before commencing tasks.

Conduct visual and non-destructive inspections to verify conformity.

Operate tools and measuring instruments with precision.

Maintain qualifications through regular European welder approval tests.

Accurately record work in SAP within our MRP system.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

Recognised time-served apprenticeship in welding or relevant trade.

Strong experience in welding or fitting in a heavy manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Good understanding of production processes and health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Desirable:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

ISO 14732 Welding Operator Qualification.

ISO 9606 Part 1 and/or 2 Welder Qualification.

Key Attributes:

Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
