Accounting Technician

Southminster | Hybrid | 37.5 Hours | £27 to £32K

Are you an experienced Accounting Technician with AAT qualifications and at least 4 years of UK based experience? Are you ready to take the next step in your career with a dynamic, cloud-based accounting firm that values innovation, teamwork, and client success?

Our client, a forward-thinking and fully digital accounting practice, is seeking a talented Accounting Technician to join their Virtual Finance Hub. You'll become part of a team that’s passionate about delivering value, driving innovation, and supporting clients in a professional, caring, and impactful way.

To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 4 years’ UK based experience and have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements

AAT qualified with 4+ years of experience

Xero certified and knowledge of other apps would be beneficial

Connect with clients effectively and professionally

Commitment to learning new skills, developing and sharing your knowledge

Act with due care and attention and ensure confidentiality is applied at all times

Support the team and have a positive mindset

Deliver a wow experience and show you care

Ability to listen and provide feedback

Responsibilities

Build and develop a professional relationship with our clients

Provide a wow/excellent service to all our Clients

Day-to-day support for other team members

Prepare & Check client’s month-end balance sheet reconciliations

Responsible for sending monthly Management reports to clients

Responsible for clients Payrolls, VAT returns and CIS returns

Supporting the Accountant with year-end activities

Responsible for keeping our knowledge management up to date

Required to innovate to improve processes

Any other ad-hoc activities and duties as required by the company

Benefits

£27k to £32k (Including bonus)

9am to 5:30pm – 37.5 Hours

28 Days Holiday (including Bank Holidays)
