About me: I am a fully qualified English teacher. I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) for secondary English Literature and Language in 2000 and have over twenty years of teaching experience.

Experience: I have experience of teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4, up to and including GCSE, for Pearson Edexcel and AQA.

Approach: I offer a free, initial, no obligation, online meeting to talk about individual needs and wants from having English lessons. This helps both the learner and me to know if we are going to be a good working match. In this chat, we may discuss things, such as boosting grades, revision skills, exploring and understanding texts, exam techniques and what examiners are looking for, building vocabulary and developing writing skills.

Lessons: Lessons are online, planned and targeted towards the specific needs and aims of the individual. Delivery of lessons is organised and accessible, followed by clear, detailed feedback and analysis of written and spoken work. My current availability is Mondays and Fridays.

Cost: Lessons are charged at £40 for 40 minutes, plus availability for extended contact during the week for questions and any learning related issues that may come up. Payment is made each half-term, usually six weeks in advance at a cost of £240.
