Part time and/or summer job
Salary £8 to £10 per hour depending on experience.
Aged 18 and over.
Computer literate. Competent with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
High confidence and ability driving and moving large vehicles in tight spaces (vehicles are 7m in length).
Physically able and strong enough to be able to change heavy motorhome wheels, operate a power washer if required.
Experience with home DIY, vehicle maintenance, bike maintenance and basic repairs is preferred.
Impeccable time keeping.
Excellent customer service manner. Friendly, welcoming and professional.
Initiative and excellent problem solving skills.
Confident and able to work independently.
Own own transport
Excellent interpersonal skills
Always smart and presentable
Good eye for detail and ensure high standards are maintained in terms of cleanliness, service and communication
Have good negotiation and conflict resolution skills to be able to deal fairly with discussions with customers around any damages caused
Practical mindedness to conduct small repairs, diagnose how to fix breakages/problems and showing good initiative of whom to contact or where to go to get issues fixed or relevant parts needed.
Would Suit (but not limited too):
Student, semi-retired, including but not limited to somebody who has vehicle management / rental experience, who seeks an annually flexible position (busy during peak season April-Oct, especially peak season weekends), with opportunity for work during the winter.
Somebody who has possibly worked in an office environment and as such is proficient working on a computer, but is equally comfortable performing DIY, and basic mechanical tasks.
Tasks include but are not limited too :-
Handling bookings, scheduling, stock – email, phone, web
Meeting and greeting of customers
Supervising of the signing of rental agreements
Checking of customer ID documents and licenses
Taking of payments
Vehicle briefings/acquaints. Explaining the motorhome features and equipment inside and out
Taking customer calls :
- Organising taxis
- Giving directions
- Answering questions on motorhome operation or any problems
Liaising with company owner
Welcoming customers returning from hire
Handling customer deposit retention to address damages
Conducting small repairs
Supervising cleaners, ensuring they arrive on time, and checking cleanliness of vehicles before released for hire.
