Are you currently working as a Purchasing Manager within a manufacturing environment?

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager to join and lead a small team within a leading and very well-established manufacturing company. This role reports in to the Managing Director and oversees the entire purchasing department. This person will be responsible for all procurement and the materials team including goods in and dealing with all suppliers / vendors.

The successful candidate will be an experienced buyer and purchasing manager and MUST come from a manufacturing background and be experienced in the use of ERP systems.

The company has been established for over 50 years and have a highly reputable name in the market.

You must have:
*Proven Experience in a similar Senior Buyer / Purchasing Manager role within a manufacturing environment
*Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
*Experience assisting a manufacturing and production environment
*Proven experience in purchasing raw materials and components to assist with the production and manufacture of a finished product for dispatch
*Manage the day t day ruining of the purchasing division and follow company policies
*Solid negotiation and supplier experience
*A understanding of the market sector and trends
*Attention to detail and ensuring deliveries and products are supplied on time.
